[v2.0] If you were using DOMINOES in an InterBBS mode AND there were
duplicate names being used between some of the BBS' (ie:
SYSOP on one BBS and SYSOP on another) then the program was
duplicating names in the score file. In addition to using
this new version, you MUST delete the DOMINOE.ISC file and
allow the program to recreate it correctly.
08/24/93
[v1.9] If running the door in an InterBBS environment, the proper
scores were not being reflected when you lost points during
game play. The correct scores were being kept in the user
database but not in the ISC file.
08/16/93
[v1.8] We have received a report of a problem with the makeup days
not working for some players and working for others. It seems
that the problem is that the SYSOP was not getting the makeup
days but the players were. This bug has been in the program
since version 1.0.
Score files were not being created properly and InterBBS was
dropping players from the DOMINOE.ISC file. If you have a
Dominoes.ISC file and or a DOMINOE0.xxx file, delete them and
they will correct themselves
If you had used up all the allotted games for today and
re-entered the Door, the opening screen would 'flash' and it
would immediately display the screen informing caller that all
games had been used. It will now pause.
08/10/93
[v1.7] Introducing an INTER-BBS option whereby players may compete
against players from any number of other BBS', running
DOMINOES.. See Docs for a more indepth explanation as
well as an explanation of the new CFG option.
Added a Screen Refresh option.
Added an option to display the High Scores at any time
during the game.
Added an option to display the Instructions at any time
during the game.
When a double tile is played against a board tile of the
same value on both ends, the player will not be asked the
"Match Which End..." question. Instead it will assume the
(L)eft end.
For technical reasons we no longer support CHAIN.TXT
06/19/93
[v1.6] Removed delay at start of game.
Added support for the PCBoard /M version!
03/12/93
[v1.5] Now supports Comm Ports 0-15
Hall of Fame routine was working only partially. Correct
player was listed in HOF, but with a blank score.
If no one played the door or if the highest score obtained
during the month was zero, the game will NOT show a Hall of
Fame entry for the month.
Callers will be required to answer the "Want Instructions.."
question with a Y or N. This was required to circumvent a
problem encountered when running under WildCat's IM version.
Hall of Fame display was always displaying in color, regardless
of the color setting of the current session.
01/23/93
[v1.4] The program was not processing the double blank tile
correctly, if it was the only double in either hand. Very
hard to test this as it is rare to only have the double blank
be the highest double in either hand.
12/25/92
[v1.3] When the computer won the game, the computer's last play
was not being reflected on the screen.
New Configuration option to allow Sysop to choose whether
they want the computer to allocate 999 games to them or if
they just want to be like any other caller.
Corrected an alignment problem with the SUNHOF.ASC/ANS files.
All entries, from this point on, will be aligned properly.
You will have to manually align the existing entries (after
the next monthly maintenance run).
The Hall of Fame list will now be displayed to the player
after the High Scores (if the SUNHOF.ANS is found and the
Door is registered)
12/14/92
[v1.2] Corrected some logic that was causing incorrect scoring to
occur when the player beat the computer. All points were not
being awarded to the player and the computer was not playing
tiles it should have played.
When the Player wins it will now display the computer's hand.
11/14/92
[v1.1] Left out the option to turn off the ADOPT-A-DOOR screen.
Have added that back in which will require that you update
the CFG file. Compare Docs CFG description to the v1.0
CFG and make the appropriate change!
The detailed description of the CFG file, in the DOCs, was
incorrect. It will now reflect the correct order of the
parameters. (Always said I hated writing DOCs, this only goes
to prove my point <grin> )
Added support for Fossil-based Multi-Port boards.
11/11/92
[v1.0] Initial release
